Bill has been in the in the mechanical business since in 1973 with Scott Company. In 1980, he left Scott and moved to Broadway Mechanical as an Owner and Vice President and helped them become a major player in the San Francisco/Bay Area markets. In 1985, Scott Company and Broadway merged to form The Scott Companies and this was the catalyst for Bill to start his own business, Westates Mechanical Contractors, Inc. Over the next 10 years, Bill and Dan Loeffler built a very successful company using the same business model they had used at Scott Co. and Broadway Mechanical. As a result, in 1994, The Scott Companies approached Bill and convinced him to merge and to join their San Leandro operations as the head of the Service Contracting Department. Bill managed this department until 1998 when he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to handle the $72 Million mechanical contract on the Venetian Casino Resort project. In 1999, at the completion of the Venetian project, Bill became the Division Manager for Scott Co.'s Las Vegas office. In 2001, Bill was promoted to the position of Manager of Engineering and Detailing for all of The Scott Companies operations and was also tasked with developing the "Distributed Generation or Co-Generation" market in California and Nevada. In 2003, Bill left The Scott Companies and created a new company that we know today as Westates Mechanical, Inc. serving as a Board Member and the RMO (Responsible Managing Officer) for the Company.

Dan has developed very strong personal and professional relationships with Chevron, UCSF Mt. Zion Hospital and several key general contractors.
